How does Bentz join the group without kids noticing?
Bentz joins as a regular participant using a WhatsApp invite link. It has a clear bot name and avatar - we don't hide it. Kids know it's there, which itself encourages better behavior.
Does every parent need to approve?
Yes. Israeli law requires explicit consent from all group members (or their guardians) before any monitoring tool can join. One parent per household is enough. Bentz won't activate until 100% of families have approved.
What exactly triggers an alert?
Bentz flags: verbal violence or threats, sexual or explicit content, messages with patterns of social exclusion (e.g., targeting one child repeatedly), and sharp spikes in negative sentiment. Routine banter, arguments, and off-topic chatter are ignored.
Are the messages stored or read by humans?
No. Messages are processed in real-time and not stored. Our team never reads individual messages. Only flagged events generate a report to parents.
Can we switch between passive and active mode later?
Yes. The committee rep can change the mode at any time by messaging Bentz directly.
What happens at the end of the school year?
You can cancel anytime - no contracts. Most classes re-subscribe for the following year once they see the difference it makes.
